"Railo" is the name of an alien dog in a science fiction series in the early 2000's called Star Trek Enterprise (read more about the series and the dog). The name should in fact be written "Rhylo" (that is it's correct spelling) but the name made its way into the software by it's Swiss phonetic spelling: Railo.
Railo Server is an Open Source LPGL 2 Licensed CFML engine, it parses a website scripting language that obeys the CFML markup definition. CFML is very similar to HTML and therefore very easy to learn. Read more about Railo - the language.
